I’m not normally one that chooses vegetarian food but this was delicious and reasonably priced. Don’t let the thali size fool you I was stuffed!!

Absolutely no idea why the stars are so low on this place. I've been recommended this place for years and it's been consistently amazing. The chaat is insanely good. I'm yet to find a better one in the country. That's right, best chaat in the country! The paani Puri is great too! The spicy mogo chips might be the hidden gem here too! I'm told the passionfruit juice is great but I personally didn't try them. The service was super quick and it's never expensive. I really hope when the new owners take over they don't replace the recipe. It'll be heartbreaking.

This shop is the heart of Green Street.Pure vegetarian street Food. Value for money and the food is amazing. Whenever we go to Green Street, we always eat cholaa phatora. There is enough seating space and the staff are also good. But there is a lot of rush here. On weekends you have to wait in a long queue

Visited the restaurant in many years, and the food was amazing, despite lock down there was enough items on the menu to choose from. The service was fantastic with tabek given fairly quickly and starter order taken without much wait. The food arrived quickly as well. We really enjoyed all the food we had ordered but the highlight was papdi chaat, bhajiya and chilly chips and chilly fried idli. The masala uttapa was also great. Definitely worth a visit if your in the green st area. The place has been around for years and food has always been great.

This place is modest looking with your basic chair and table line up. Always a queue every time I come, this must be a good sign. Food we ordered was chillie mogo chips, dosa with sambhar and the chole bhatura. It was a delicious meal the food had a lot of flavour. And to end masala tea which is overwhelming spicy I think a few too many black peppers, we just added some sugar and it was fine. Cutlery was clean and seating was clean. I have come previously and will continue to come.

Vijay's Chawalla is a culinary gem that caters to the vegetarian palate with its delectable offerings and warm Gujarati hospitality. As a vegetarian, I was delighted to discover this haven of vegetarian cuisine, and my recent dining experience left me thoroughly impressed. The restaurant boasts a charming and inviting atmosphere, creating a comfortable and relaxed dining environment. The decor is tasteful, reflecting the rich cultural heritage of Gujarat, and the attentive staff, predominantly Gujarati, exuded warmth and professionalism. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Gujarati Thali—an exquisite feast that showcased the diverse flavors and culinary traditions of Gujarat. The thali consisted of an array of delicacies served in small bowls, allowing me to savor a variety of flavors in one meal. Each dish was prepared with finesse, using fresh and high-quality ingredients that elevated the dining experience. From the moment the thali was presented, I was captivated by the vibrant colors and enticing aromas. Also side dishes , Dhokla, crispy Fafda, and fluffy Khandvi were among the starters that delighted my taste buds with their unique textures and delightful flavors. The main course offered an assortment of dishes such as the aromatic Gujarati Kadhi, comforting Undhiyu, and flavorful Gujarati Dal. The perfectly cooked Basmati rice and soft Rotis complemented the flavors beautifully. What truly stood out was the impeccable balance of spices in every dish, allowing each ingredient to shine and creating a harmonious blend of flavors. The chefs at Vijay's Chawalla have undoubtedly mastered the art of Gujarati cuisine, leaving no room for disappointment. To conclude the meal, the restaurant offered a delightful assortment of traditional Gujarati desserts. The melt-in-your-mouth Mohanthal and the sweet and sticky Jalebi were absolute delights, providing a sweet ending to a memorable dining experience. In summary, Vijay's Chawalla is a haven for vegetarian food enthusiasts, offering a Gujarati culinary journey that is second to none. The delightful Gujarati Thali, combined with the warm and attentive service, makes for an unforgettable dining experience. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone seeking an authentic taste of Gujarat in a welcoming and vibrant setting.

This place is an oldie but a goldie with delicious food. The menu is vegetarian and I believe alcohol free. We ordered pav bhaji, aloo papdi chaat and passionfruit juice. It was all delicious and a little on the spicy side
